During the long weekend i prepared for a debate i have to do for my history class. My group has to argue that Defense spending consumes too much of the federal budget and we have to win! I also went to tj to visit and distribute food to an elderly institution and an orphanage. Seeing the elderly suffer in the cold and in need for so much care was sad to watch; but It was just heart breaking to see the faces of joy the children had when we walked in with boxes of food. I had never experienced this bitter-sweet moment to watch these innocent children living under bad conditions. It was too much to hear them talking about their needs and wants, it was to a point where i had to walk out to cry because it was just heart breaking. I came back with the satistaction that i have helped someone and made a small difference in these elderly and children and upset because i my hands only go so far and there is so many people out there like these children..
